Controlled borrowing of company assets

XPO Logistics is an American multinational transport and contract logistics company that manages supply chains for customers all over the world. For their distribution centre in the Netherlands they were looking for a solution to manage and lend out company assets to their employees.
Thanks to Olssen’s electronic locker solution, XPO employees can now safely borrow a Zebra Voice Picking set for their shift. By linking the locker system to the current access system, employees can easily operate the lockers using their access card. The system then issues the most charged PDA/Zebra Voice Picking set, so that the employee in question always has a charged device.

When the employee returns the borrowed device to the locker system, it is possible to indicate whether the device is still in good condition or whether there is something wrong with it. The locker system can then block the locker containing the device in question for the next issue, so that the device can first be checked or repaired.
